Crafting a timeless identity for Hotel Domenica – a new business hotel in Sveta Nedelja – along with its connected restaurant, bringing modern elegance to Croatia’s hospitality scene.
Hotel Domenica was a brand propsal for a new business-oriented hotel in Sveta Nedelja, Croatia. With no prior history, the challenge was to create a cohesive visual identity for both the hotel and its restaurant, ensuring an elegant and professional look that resonates with business travelers and positions it as a modern hospitality destination.
The hotel was a completely new venture with no prior history or market presence. It was strategically designed to target business travelers visiting Sveta Nedelja, a growing economic hub in Croatia. The additional challenge was that the project included a connected restaurant, which required a complementary yet distinct identity.
We had to craft a name for both the hotel and the restaurant, along with a visual identity that tied them together seamlessly while ensuring the design worked across all peripheral applications, from stationery to signage.
We began with extensive research into the region’s business demographic, analyzing the needs and expectations of business travelers.
Inspired by elegance and professionalism, we developed a name that evoked trust and sophistication: Domenica. The restaurant’s identity was created to complement the hotel’s branding while maintaining its unique appeal.
After naming, we focused on creating a timeless visual identity. Using clean, minimalistic design elements, I ensured the branding reflected modern professionalism while aligning with Croatian hospitality culture. A consistent theme was applied across all touchpoints, from stationery and signage to digital platforms.
The result was a strong and cohesive brand identity for Hotel Domenica and its connected restaurant “Garnish”. The name “Domenica” reflects timeless elegance, while the visual identity – modern fonts, a calming color palette, and clean iconography – creates a professional yet approachable feel.
The design extended seamlessly to all peripheral applications, including business cards, hotel signage, restaurant menus, and digital mockups. Together, the branding elevated the new hotel to stand out in a competitive business hospitality market, helping it establish credibility and attract business travelers to Sveta Nedelja.
